FlowStream Announces Appointment of Chief Technical Officer and Creation of Technical Review Committee

March 4, 2014

ST. HELIER, JERSEY, 4th MARCH 2014

FlowStream Commodities Ltd (“FlowStream”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Rhodes as its Chief Technical Officer. Brian Rhodes will assume senior responsibility for assessing all technical, operational, commercialization and fiscal matters pertaining to prospective investments that FlowStream might make in the oil & gas sector globally. Brian will also lead the ongoing monitoring of FlowStream’s oil & gas asset portfolio.

Brian Rhodes brings more than thirty nine years of technical experience in the oil & gas sector to FlowStream. Immediately prior to FlowStream, Brian was a Gaffney Cline & Associates (“GCA”) Executive Director and the Global Director for Corporate Advisory Services. In this role, he advised on a broad range of technical, operational, commercial and fiscal issues facing oil & gas companies globally, ranging from start-ups to super-majors to NOCs. Prior to GCA, Brian worked for a number of oil companies in senior managerial and technical roles, including with Cultus Petroleum, Peko Petroleum and Marathon. Brian has an Honours Degree in geology from the University of Dundee and is a member of the Energy Institute, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers.

FlowStream today also announces the creation of its Technical Review Committee. The Technical Review Committee will over time be built out to represent deep, senior technical, operational, commercial and fiscal experience of the oil & gas industry. This experience base will be leveraged to support the Chief Technical Officer, the broader FlowStream management team and the FlowStream Board in the assessment of investment opportunities.

Brian Ward, who has served FlowStream as its Technical Director since FlowStream’s inception, will step down from his day-to-day executive responsibilities and join the Technical Review Committee. Through Brian Ward’s participation in the Technical Review Committee, FlowStream will continue to benefit from his more than forty five years of deep technical and managerial experience in the oil & gas industry, culminating in his role as CEO of Shell E&P Africa.

Jan Laubjerg, Chief Executive Officer of FlowStream, commented:

“We are delighted to be welcoming an industry professional of Brian Rhodes’ caliber to FlowStream. As we have always said, the quality of any investment FlowStream might make always starts with the quality of the technical aspects of the underlying asset. Brian Rhodes’ extensive experience of carrying out diligence on assets globally, typically in a deal context, will enhance FlowStream’s ability to assess a multitude of situations quickly, effectively and accurately. I also want to thank Brian Ward for his extensive and tireless efforts as our Technical Director as we launched FlowStream. We are delighted to be able to continue to draw on his deep senior expertise through his role on the Technical Review Committee. We believe the Technical Review Committee will be an important part of how we do deals, ensuring we apply the deepest pool of expertise to opportunities as we analyse the technical proposition. I look forward to working closely with Brian and Brian in their new roles.”
