The Team: Management

Jan Laubjerg

Chief Executive Officer, spent his career pre-FlowStream focused on advising oil & gas companies on M&A and capital raising. Immediately prior to FlowStream, Jan was Co-Head of Natural Resource and Head of Oil & Gas, EMEA for Nomura International. He joined Nomura post its acquisition of Lehman, having spent the majority of his career at Goldman Sachs, which he left as Managing Director responsible for upstream oil & gas clients across EMEA. Jan has acted for all forms of oil and gas clients, on largely all forms of deals, across six different continents. Prior to going to business school, Jan was a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Jan has a MBA from INSEAD and a MA/BA from Cambridge University.

Ben Iversen

Chief Financial Officer, has a deep expertise in all matters related to equity and equity-linked financing, having spent 22 years in investment banking in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. His last role in banking, before FlowStream, was as Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets, EMEA for Nomura International. Prior to joining Nomura, he held senior positions at Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Cazenove & Co focused on bringing equity and equity-linked capital to fast growing companies. Ben has been involved with raising capital for clients across a wide range of geographies and industries with a particular focus on the natural resources sector. Ben and Jan worked closely together for their last three years of investment banking, helping oil & gas companies raise capital. Ben has an MA/BA from Cambridge University.

Brian Rhodes

Chief Technical Officer, has over 40 years of technical and commercial experience in the oil & gas sector. His last role was at Gaffney Cline & Associates (GCA) as Executive Director and the Global Director for Corporate Advisory Services. In this role, Brian advised on a broad range of technical, operational, commercial and fiscal issues facing oil & gas companies globally, ranging from start-ups to super-majors to NOCs. His areas of expertise include extensive experience in the estimation, classification and categorization of reserves and resources. Prior to joining GCA, Brian worked for a number of oil companies in senior managerial and technical roles, including with Cultus Petroleum, Peko Petroleum and Marathon. Brian has an Honours Degree in geology from the University of Dundee and is a member of the Energy Institute, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers

Anastasia Deulina

Chief Commercial Officer, has over a decade of international investment banking and private equity experience in the oil & gas sector. Immediately prior to FlowStream, Anastasia was a Director at First Reserve, a premier, global, energy-focused private equity and infrastructure investment firm. At First Reserve, Anastasia sourced, monitored and led several oil & gas deals in Europe, Asia and the US, including Midstates, Amromco, White Rose and Kris Energy. Prior to joining First Reserve in 2007, Anastasia was an investment banker with the oil & gas teams at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Anastasia has a BSc with Distinction from the Moscow State Geological Prospecting Academy and an MA in Energy and Mineral Resources from the University of Texas. She is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Institute of Directors in London.

Richard Cliff

General Counsel & Company Secretary, has over 20 years of transactional legal experience, much of it gained in the oil & gas sector. Immediately before joining FlowStream, Richard was a partner in the Global Energy Group of Fasken Martineau LLP. Prior to this, Richard was a partner at Eversheds LLP and has also practised at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and Herbert Smith LLP. Richard’s experience includes public and private M&A, IPOs and other securities transactions, private equity, joint ventures and private fund-raising’s and, in the oil & gas sector, extends to asset and corporate acquisitions (both upstream and downstream), advising on PSA and JOA issues and acting on cross-border pipeline and transportation projects. Richard has an MA/BA from Oxford University and is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.

Stephen Otter

Director, Business Development, has over seven years experience in oil & gas investment banking with Nomura and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Stephen has worked on capital raising and M&A transactions across the oil field life cycle in many different countries. Stephen graduated from the London School of Economics with a first class honours degree in Economics.

Myles Treharne

Financial Controller and Director of Tax, has over ten years of accounting, finance and international tax experience. Prior to joining FlowStream, Myles worked in the Structured Capital Markets division of Barclays Investment Bank, where he designed and executed international funding transactions and, prior to that, he worked in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Utilities team of Ernst & Young advising on IPO and M&A transactions in the Energy sector. Myles is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax Advisors, and has a MA/BA from Cambridge University.

Anna Klub

Associate, Business Development, has over four years of experience in energy investment banking with J.P. Morgan and Citi, where she advised oil & gas companies on capital raising and M&A transactions across EMEA. Anna holds a MSc in Economics and Finance from Frankfurt University and is a member of the Energy Institute.

Technical Review Committee Members

Tom Bourgeois

Technical Review Committee Member, was previously the Global Chief Project Engineer for Shell International. Tom has over 35 years of international experience focused on delivering top quartile project performance. As Shell’s Global Chief Project Engineer, he had an oversight role for all major projects across the entire portfolio, advised management as to the development and execution risks, and was responsible for the assessment of execution progress. Some of Tom’s areas of focus for project reviews and assessments were Kazakhstan (Kashagan), Nigeria (deep water and onshore), Oman (onshore), Malaysia (deep water) and Canada (heavy oil). Prior to the role of Global Chief Project Engineer, he gained expertise in senior leadership roles in USA, Netherlands, UK, China and Russia. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a BSCE.

Randy Nesvold

Technical Review Committee Member, was previously the Global Chief Reservoir Engineer for ConocoPhillips. Randy has over 35 years of international oil and gas industry experience focused on reservoir engineering, resource assessment and field development. During his career with ConocoPhillips, he held various senior engineering and management positions in the USA, Norway, UK and the UAE. Randy has extensive experience with major conventional and unconventional projects including major LNG projects. He has a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from the University of North Dakota and a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas.

Tony Durrant

Advisory Committee Member, is the Chief Executive Officer of Premier Oil, the company and board of which he joined as Chief Financial Officer in the summer of 2005. Tony began his career by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen. He then joined Lehman Brothers first as an oil sector analyst before joining the investment banking division in 1987. From 1997 to 2005 he was a Managing Director and Head of the European Natural Resources team of Lehman, with responsibility for senior client relationships across European and North American clients. Tony is also a Non-Executive Director of Greenergy. Tony read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.

Our BP Relationship

FlowStream has a formal agreement with BP under which FlowStream shall be BP’s preferred stream provider for third party producer clients of BP’s European-based trading business.

BP has a formal agreement with FlowStream under which BP shall be its preferred partner to act as offtaker where FlowStream deploys streaming or purchases existing royalties and offtake is or become available.
